First Magazine Cover
This cover came from me documenting people the way that they wanted to be portrayed. This felt like the the first time the World came to me, gave me a pat on the back and told me “It is your time now.”
VOGUE Challenge
I took this image of my daughter’s mother and I collaborated with a friend of mine with the talent to illustrate and do the mockup. Next thing, VOGUE magazine contacted us and said that this image fitted their interpretation of their magazine.
GQ Magazine
What made this cover so special was that GQ was one of my top-5 magazines I wanted to shoot covers for and even better, this dream came true with the special twist. I shot a fellow Kenyan that blew up online. I did not think that I would shoot my dream cover with a fellow Kenyan, and she did not think that she would do her first cover with a fellow Kenyan.
