Membership Criteria
To be eligible for the benefits of the Sony Imaging PRO Support program, certain requirements must be met. The applicant must own at least four or more "Sony" branded "Alpha" Full Frame interchangeable lens cameras or more "Sony" branded G master lenses, which have been purchased from an authorised SONY dealer or distributor. Once you fill the application for pro-support your application will be evaluated by Sony MEA. Membership will be granted as per the discretion of Sony MEA and approved member will be intimated accordingly.

Q: What is Sony Imaging PRO Support (SIPS)?
A: SIPS is a membership program offered by Sony Middle East and Africa (SOMEA) to professional photographers who meet the eligibility criteria.
Q: Who is eligible for SIPS membership?
A: To be eligible, you must be 18 years or older, a professional photographer, self-employed, or employed by a professional imaging business. You must play a direct and active role in creating moving or still images for third parties with a large proportion of your income derived from this creation. You must also own a minimum of four Sony MEA Alpha Full Frame interchangeable lens cameras or more Sony MEA G master lenses, purchased from an authorized Sony MEA dealer or distributor and live and work in UAE.
Q: How do I become a member of SIPS?
A: Membership will be granted as per the discretion of Sony MEA and approved members will be intimated accordingly.
Q: What is the duration of the SIPS membership?
A: The membership period will commence upon the date when the membership kit/card is received by the member and will be valid for a period of two (2) years. Thereafter, the membership term may be extended at the discretion of Sony MEA on a year-by-year basis.
Q: What benefits do SIPS members receive?
A: SIPS members receive a Welcome Kit, special invites to new product launches, seminars, and events, priority access to the Sony MEA contact center, complimentary clean and maintenance check service for lenses and camera bodies up to three times per membership year for eligible products and for a total of six products, 25% discount on labor fee and parts cost for registered products, priority repair service of registered products at designated service centers upon presentation of the membership card, and loan equipment may be available upon request if turnaround time exceeds three working days, subject to availability and upon specific request.
Q: Can other individuals use my SIPS membership benefits?
A: No, SIPS membership benefits will only be applicable for the registered individual. Other individuals will need to sign up for their own SIPS account and must meet all the eligibility requirements.
Q: What happens if I lose my SIPS card or strap?
A: The SIPS Card & Strap will remain the property of Sony MEA. You must keep them safe and secure at all times when they are in your possession or power, promptly report any loss or theft to Sony MEA, and return both the SIPS card & strap to Sony MEA immediately upon termination or expiration of your SIPS Membership. Sony MEA reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee as it deems fit for replacement of the SIPS Card or strap.
Q: How can I avail of SIPS services?
A: To avail services, you must present the Membership Card or notify the Membership Number. In the event you are unable to provide either the card or membership number Sony MEA may deny offering all or a part of the Services to such member.
Q: How will Sony MEA handle my Personal Information?
A: Sony MEA shall handle Personal Information in accordance with the Sony MEA Group Privacy Policy. Sony MEA shall use the Personal Information only for the purposes listed below and except for cases permitted by laws or regulations, shall not use for any other purpose without prior consent from the member.
Q: What happens if I perform any prohibited acts?
A: If you perform any prohibited acts in the course of application or use of the Services, Sony MEA shall terminate your membership and shall not be liable for any loss or damages incurred by you as a result of the use of or inability to use the services by you.

A: If you want to review, correct, or delete your Personal Information, you must notify Sony MEA and they shall respond as promptly as possible.

A: No, Sony MEA shall not be liable for any loss or damages incurred by the member as a result of the use of or inability to use the services by the member. However, Sony MEA shall handle Personal Information in accordance with the Sony MEA Group Privacy Policy.
