Every issue comprises around 300 pages filled with over 50 tried-and-tested recipes and a variety of stories about everything ranging from food and ingredients to an appreciation of the finer things. Join the JAN team as they chat about filming video to accompany the 8th volume of the Journal on a road trip from Cape Town to the Kalahari. Jan Hendrik Van der Westhuizen

Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen is the first South African chef to have obtained a Michelin star. He is also a photographer, stylist, publisher, and entrepreneur – so you can catch him behind a camera almost as often as in his restaurant kitchens on the French Riviera or in the Kalahari.
