Raffle Draw – Terms and Conditions

These Raffle Draw Terms and Condition (“Terms and Conditions”) is provided by Sony Middle East and Africa FZE (“Sony”) for the Alpha Universe Raffle Draw (“Raffle Draw”).

By participating in this Raffle Draw, the individual acknowledges and affirms that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions. The Entrant further agrees that these Terms and Conditions are applicable to them and shall be binding for any matter or purpose associated with or connected to the Raffle, including data practices outlined in the Privacy Policy, available at https://alphauniverse-mea.com/privacy-policy/ (“Privacy Policy”) and Terms and Conditions. It is essential that you review the Privacy Policy to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the Sony will utilize your personal data.

  1. Entry to the Raffle Draw is open to all individuals who: (i) are aged 18 years and above and (ii) are legal residents of the country, where this contest is being offered (“Entrants”).
  2. To enter to the Raffle Draw, Entrants must be (i) a member to https://alphauniverse-mea.com/; (ii) have fully updated their profile to 100%; and (iii) have registered at least 1 SONY Gear in their alpha universe account.
  3. The Raffle Draw will run from 00:01 (UAE time) 15th December 2023 until 23:59 (UAE time) 15 February 2024 (the “Raffle Period”). Sony reserves the right to extend the Raffle Period at its sole discretion.
  4. The Final Grand Raffle draw will take place on 28th February 2024 at 4PM (UAE time).
  5. Winner Selection and Notification:
    • 1 winner will be randomly selected by a computer-generated randomizer from Entrants (“Winner”).
    • The Winner will be contacted by email (which is associated to the Entrant’s alpha universe Account). The winner will also be announced on our https://alphauniverse-mea.com/ and social media pages.
    • The Winner must respond within 5 days of contact to confirm acceptance of the Prize. Failure to respond will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected by Sony at its sole discretion.
    • For the Purpose of validation and verification, Winner will be required to send a copy of the passport/national ID in order to claim the Prize:
  6. The Winner will receive a Sony Camera (ZV-E1) along with a Sony Lens (SELP1635F4G) (“Prize)”.
  7. General Conditions:
    • The winner is responsible for ensuring they meet all the entry requirements.
    • The prize shall be non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternatives.
    • Sony reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
    • Sony reserves the right to disqualify any individual, if it has grounds to believe the Entrant has breached any of these Terms and Condition, acted fraudulently or illegally, or on other reasonable grounds and shall have no liability for any loss or damage arising from such rejection.
    • Sony reserves the right to modify the Terms and Condition, suspend, extend and/or terminate this Raffle Draw at any time without prior notice.
    • By participating in the Raffle Draw, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sony its affiliates, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising out of or related to their participation in the Raffle Draw or the Prize.
    • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai, UAE. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
