Workshops Description
For the next chapter of The Almost Free Workshop with Sunshine Co, we welcome photographer Travys Owen. During this workshop, Travys will take us through his process of creating his incredible portraiture in studio and beyond. As an added bonus, we will showcase our latest range of cameras and lenses and have them available for everyone to shoot with. Join us for this exciting session with some practical setups and a live Q&A session with Travys Owen. Feel free to bring your camera or memory card should you wish to shoot a couple of frames once the demonstration is over. You can also join Sony, Sunshine & Travys for a braai after. Just bring your own meat and drinks, Sony & Sunshine will also supply the snacks & drinks. This is a paid event conducted in collaboration with ‘Sunshine Co’. Travys Owen
Travys Owen grew up on the East Coast of South Africa and had a constant investment in his surroundings. Starting out his career in photo illustration and VFX, Travys has forged an illustrious career as a photographer, and more recently a Director of Photography. Pulling from his design and post production experience and love for portraiture, he constantly works to find ways in which to push the arresting aesthetic of his photography into both film and stills, incorporating off-kilter visual effects and bold lighting choices to create striking visual and narrative content. Travys has shot for brands like Nike, Adidas, Falke Germany and a host of online and print magazines, including Hunger Magazine UK, Vogue Italia, King Kong Magazine, GQ China, GQ Japan, Elle Magazine, & FGUK Magazine.
