Ihsan Salhia
UAE
Growing up in New Jersey I’ve always owned a camera. I’d load my roll of film and start spinning until the roll is in and then I’d shoot. But things where about to change. I purchased my first digital camera. A Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P71, a full 3.2-megapixel camera that was smaller than the palm of my hands.
Anxious and excited; I took it to the top of Garret Mountain and began shooting. Being able to capture an image and see it instantly on the back end of the camera made me fall in love with photography all over again.
Carrying this little camera around with me everywhere I went, I began to notice that most of my photos where leaning towards the landscapes near my home.
After years of shooting and the explosion of Social Media, I became determined to make photography my life.
I set out a one-year goal to make this happen. I worked really hard trying to figure a way to leave my job and have the field of photography be my main source of income.
Today I am happy to say that I am a full time Photographer and Creative Director pushing the limits with other creatives. My name is Ihsan and I am known as TG (The Guy).

Morning Clouds Over Dubai
I love early morning photo missions. I try to usually plan my photo missions to have the sun appear from behind the city skyline or a beautiful mountain. And when the clouds show up, its just an added bonus. There’s also that amazing since of peace capturing the city while most people are asleep.

From Across The Water
Sunset and golden hour are a favorite for many photographers. But when trying to include a bird into your composition, it just makes it that much more interesting. There were so many birds in the area but I just could not capture one in the perfect spot. So I waited and waited until I finally had one bird passing across when I finally hit the shutter and captured this image. I was able to capture this image using the A7R3 and 70-200mm ISO 100 136mm 1/160Sec F11

Getting A Closer Look
This was an early morning Sunrise Photo Mission where I tried to capture Birds along with a sunrise. I went to an area or park where birds where in the area, so I waited patiently as a small group made their way over the sun, and as soon as the past over, I hit the shutter button and caught this image.

Sunset Over Atlantis
On this particular day, I the clouds where scattered everywhere and it looked like it was going to be an amazing sunset. So I grabbed my gear and when running looking for the perfect composition. I didn’t have to look far because when I passed by Atlantis, I just knew this would be the shot. So I setup my equipment and waited for that perfect moment and too this shot with the A7R3 and 16-35 GM ISO 100 19mm 1/80Sec F10

Framing
Framing so important and is such a crucial part of my photography. So running around Gardens by The Bay in Singapore, I needed to find the perfect frame that can give you that forest feel and look. This is what I was able to come up with. I was able to capture this image using the A7R3 and 16-35mm GM 2.8 ISO 100 16mm 23Sec F22

Epic Reflections
It is really difficult to find a smooth motionless body of water to setup for your shot. But waking up at 4:00 AM and running out before the wind picked up, made taking this photo an adventure.

Downtown Moments
This was a fun shot for me to take. I wanted to capture an image that would include most of the action that goes on in Downtown Dubai and still have color and beauty included. I was able to capture this image using the A7R3 and 24-70mm ISO 100 24mm SS 2.5Sec F8

Colorful Lines
Leading lines and rule of thirds are very important to photography, but I also love looking for natural lines and patterns in my composition and when shooting at night I just had to include the angle that would give me the most color. I was able to capture this image using the A7R3 and 24-70mm ISO 100 41mm 3.2Sec F9

Blue Hour Over Dubai
One of my favorite type of shots to take is long exposures with running lights behind a car with big lights. I always try to plan my background along with it and just try to imagine or guess what the shot would look like. I was able to capture this image using the A7R3 and 16-35mm GM ISO 100 24mm 64Sec F18

Capturing The City
I love this particular view of the city. I usually like taking my photos vertically but on this day, the clouds and the city layout was just to amazing to pass up on taking the photo in landscape. I took this photo using the A7R3 and 16-35mm GM ISO 100 16mm 1/30Sec F4

A Fairytale
Even though Dubai is my home and it is where I love taking photos, there are so many beautiful places around the world to photograph and Singapore is no exception. I saw so many beautiful lights with a bit of clouds in the sky when I was covering F1 and decided to line up for this shot using the A7R3 and 16-35mm GM 2.8 ISO 100 16mm 30Sec F22
