Sony Alpha Event

LIWA Desert Camp

Sony organized an event in collaboration with Union of Arab Photographers. 150 Photographers from different regions attended this event and spent 3 nights at LIWA to learn advance skills in photography and editing as well as to put them into practice through different shooting opportunities.

The cold weather in the middle of LIWA dessert did not stop us to do the setup to make sure that our presentation room and the equipment were ready for all the photographers to try.

It was an event where photographers alike meet, sit down and discuss anything about photography. And an opportunity for the participants to directly interact with known photographers in their respective genre in the market to get first hand tips and guidance how to maximize their gear.

150 participants walking to the first outdoor shooting location up to the tallest dune.

The room is fully pack with photographers who wanted to learn how to light the subject with different modifiers from Sony Alpha Photographer Ali Alriffai.

Sony Alpha Photographer Abdel Rahman Gabr (Koree) did a workshop on timelapse where they started with theory, followed by actual shoot and post processing on the next day.

The day did not stop there, another round of commercial photoshoot in the middle of the dessert.

With all the different activities we wanted to make sure that all are well documented.

There is no other best way to close the day with great food, awards and sharing of experience from the different shoots for each day.
