I was really excited for the 50mm F1.4 GM lens to be launched by Sony. What impressed me about the lens is that it is lightweight but very sturdy. The autofocus capability did not disappoint and even in low light it stood it’s ground. I think this is going to become one of the legendary lenses for Sony that will take its rightful place up in every camera bag.

Experiencing the new 50mm f/1.4 GM lens with a wide aperture gives a beautiful large bokeh that draws more attention to the feelings and face expressions. Shooting video on this wide aperture was a challenge in the past, however, due to high compatibility between the new lens and newer Sony bodies, it is possible to get the focus right every time. Compact size and lightweight of the lens make it very easy to balance the camera on a gimbal with maximum shooting flexibility.
